Volleyball Recap: Superior Wildcats vs. Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders
Superior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-18.
Cora Schnakenberg paced Superior's offense, picking up four kills. Schnakenberg got some help from Maddi Bargen and her eight assists.
Charlotte Corey was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Superior's loss dropped their record down to 3-25. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
As of now, neither Superior nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
