Softball Recap: Carrollton Takes a Loss

Carrollton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Branch, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Carrollton fell just short of West Branch by a score of 10-8 on Friday. Carrollton hasn't had much luck with West Branch recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Jordan Pittman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Juliaunna Miller was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI.

Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for West Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrollton will head out to challenge Tuscarawas Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
