Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears vs. Weslaco Panthers
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 59-43 bruising from the Weslaco Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1262nd, while the Panthers are ranked 306th).
Despite the loss, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo still got an impressive performance from Jaidon Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.
Leading Weslaco to victory were Pete Cantu and Kai L Fino. Cantu posted 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while L Fino went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points and six boards.
