Basketball Game Preview: Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons vs. North Clarion Wolves

The Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons will take on the North Clarion Wolves in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 57 points on Thursday, they were much more limited against Karns City on Monday. They were dealt a 59-29 defeat at the hands of the Gremlins.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely North Clarion's strategy against East Forest on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that North Clarion blew East Forest out of the water with a 75-17 final score. The game marked the Wolves 's most dominant victory of the season so far.

North Clarion's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against North Clarion in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory.
