Baseball Recap: Tupelo Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tupelo can now relate to. They lost 16-3 to the Madison Central Jaguars on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-5 defeat on Tuesday.

Tupelo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was South McCoy, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Tupelo's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-16. As for Madison Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Tupelo nor Madison Central have any future games scheduled.
