Starmount takes loss despite strong efforts from Mackinzie Cox and Abby Moxley

Recap: Starmount Rams vs. Ashe County Huskies
The Starmount Rams lost against the Ashe County Huskies back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Starmount had to suffer through a rough 72-44 loss at the hands of Ashe County. Starmount has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Starmount's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Abby Moxley, who scored ten points, and Mackinzie Cox who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for Cox.
Starmount's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ashe County, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Starmount will be home for the holidays to greet Forbush at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Forbush is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Ashe County, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwood at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
