Baseball Recap: Immaculate Comes Up Short

Norwich Free Academy hit Immaculate with a nine-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-2. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Immaculate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Robitaille, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Immaculate's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Norwich Free Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Immaculate will venture away from home to square off against New Fairfield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Norwich Free Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against East Lyme at 4:00 p.m.
