Basketball Recap: Florence Skates Past Lawrence County with Ease

There's no place like home for Florence, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 61-30 win over the Lawrence County Red Devils. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Red Devils are ranked 338th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Florence now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Lawrence County, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence and Russellville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Lawrence County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
