Basketball Game Preview: New London Wildcats vs. Western Reserve Roughriders

The New London Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Western Reserve Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New London has ten straight victories, Western Reserve has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Wednesday, New London didn't have too much trouble with Mapleton as they won 48-34. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 14 points.

Meanwhile, Western Reserve was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 42-36 to Crestview.

Western Reserve's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for New London, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Everything came up roses for New London against Western Reserve when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 47-18 victory. In that matchup, New London amassed a halftime lead of 35-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
