Football Recap: Gordon-Rushville Comes Up Short at Home Against Alliance

Gordon-Rushville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Alliance Bulldogs on Friday, falling 72-24. The Mustangs lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-15 score last time.

Trini Trejo had an outrageously good game for Alliance as he rushed for 265 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries. Trejo really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Jacoby Bauer was another key player, rushing for 64 yards and one touchdown.

Gordon-Rushville has already played their next game (against O'Neill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Alliance, they will challenge Holdrege at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
