Soccer Game Preview: Winter Park vs. Lake Mary

The Winter Park Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Lake Mary Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Winter Park's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Lake Buena Vista with a sharp 8-0 win. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly eight goals.

Meanwhile, Lake Mary had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against XL Academy as they made off with an 8-0 victory. It was an even better day for Lindsay Sheets as she scored four goals for her team.

Lake Mary has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 54 goals over those 11 matches. As for Winter Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2-1.
