Baseball Recap: Angola Gets the Win

Angola proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over the Bronson Vikings.

Jackson Steury was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Perkins, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Angola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Angola's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-13. As for Bronson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.
