The 52-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Academy hadn't done well against Gatewood recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cougars took their matchup with ease, bagging a 64-34 victory over the Gators. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

George Walton Academy better focus on containing Corbett Crews and Tyler Griswell as the pair were huge in Piedmont Academy's win. Crews posted 21 points, while Griswell earned 15 points. Those 15 points gave Griswell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Moss, who scored eight points.

George Walton Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Piedmont Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for George Walton Academy against Piedmont Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 78-21 win.
