Softball Recap: Poca Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Poca's offense. They came up short against the Wayne Pioneers on Thursday, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in April.

Poca has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Wayne, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, Poca will be playing in front of their home fans against Sissonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dots are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
