Preview: Triplains/Brewster Titans vs. Cheylin Cougars
Triplains/Brewster is 2-8 against Cheylin since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Triplains/Brewster Titans will be home for the holidays to greet the Cheylin Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Triplains/Brewster's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 54-26 loss at the hands of Greeley County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Triplains/Brewster in their matchups with Greeley County: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Cheylin came up short against Cheyenne Wells on Saturday and fell 55-44. Cheylin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Triplains/Brewster bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.9 points per game. As for Cheylin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Everything went Triplains/Brewster's way against Cheylin in their previous meeting back in February as Triplains/Brewster made off with a 46-26 win. Does Triplains/Brewster have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cheylin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
