Softball Recap: Penobscot Valley Howlers vs. Schenck Wolverines
While Penobscot Valley put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Schenck. The Howlers put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 16-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Howlers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Lauren Veino made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Veino was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Penobscot Valley let Lila Cummings and Abby Farley run wild. Cummings went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Farley went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Farley a new career-high.
