Soccer Game Preview: Eastmark vs. Crismon

The Eastmark Firebirds will head out on the road to take on the Crismon Rattlers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastmark is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season.

Eastmark's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Combs with a sharp 6-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Firebirds needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Their offense was hitting Combs from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Olivia Fuhriman led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Crismon entered their tilt with ALA - Gilbert North on Monday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Eagles are ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crismon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Eastmark, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.
