Basketball Recap: Palm Valley Skates Past Noli Indian with Ease

There's no place like home for Palm Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Noli Indian Braves 59-17. The FIREBIRDS have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 42 points or more this season.

Palm Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Matteo Lam out in front who went 9 of 17 en route to 21 points along with eight assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lam has scored at least a third of Palm Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Ratner, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards.

Palm Valley pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Valley will square off against West Shores at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Valley's defense has only allowed 25.4 points per game this season, so West Shores' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Noli Indian, they will head out to face off against Desert Chapel at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
