Softball Recap: Narragansett Regional Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Narragansett Regional and West Boylston, and West Boylston kept the tradition alive. The Warriors fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

With the defeat, Narragansett Regional broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5. As for West Boylston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Narragansett Regional will be playing in front of their home fans against Quabbin Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for West Boylston, they will head out on the road to square off against Bromfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
