Softball Recap: Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers vs. Mt. Pleasant Oilers
Carman-Ainsworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 19-4 to the Mt. Pleasant Oilers. That's two games in a row now that the Cavaliers have lost by exactly 15 runs.
Carman-Ainsworth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Cruz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. That hit was Cruz's first of the season.
Carman-Ainsworth's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Mt. Pleasant, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.
Looking ahead, Carman-Ainsworth is taking a road trip to challenge Bendle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will welcome Alpena at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
