After a string of four wins, Germantown's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders by a score of 3-2. The Warhawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Raiders earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Germantown got a good showing from Lucas Frank, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Frank has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

Germantown's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Wauwatosa East, they moved to 2-11 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Germantown will challenge rival West Allis Hale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wauwatosa East is set to square off against their familiar foe Menomonee Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
