Basketball Recap: Abby Mesler Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mary M. Knight

Sound Christian won the last time they faced Mary M. Knight and things went their way on Friday too. The Sound Christian Lions secured a 42-37 W over the Mary M. Knight Owls. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sound Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Mesler, who posted 24 points and five steals. The game was Mesler's third in a row with at least 16 points. Kaila Brogan was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Sound Christian's record now sits at 11-5. As for Mary M. Knight, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Crosspoint Christian will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Sound Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Mary M. Knight has already played their next match (against Clallam Bay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
