Basketball Game Preview: Lena Wildcats vs. Crivitz Wolverines

Lena and Crivitz are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Lena Wildcats will face off against the Crivitz Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lena is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Last Monday, Lena didn't have too much trouble with Niagara as they won 46-28. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Badgers are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Crivitz humbled Gibraltar with a 51-23 victory.

Lena's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Crivitz, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Lena strolled past Crivitz when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 62-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lena since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
