Basketball Game Preview: Estes Park Bobcats vs. Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes

The Estes Park Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Estes Park is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Heritage Christian on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Estes Park was beaten by Heritage Christian 67-11. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bishop Machebeuf earned a 41-31 victory over Platte Canyon on Tuesday.

Bishop Machebeuf found their leader in sophomore Justina Cichos, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 22 boards. Those 22 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Cichos. The team also got some help courtesy of Charis Beckwith, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Bishop Machebeuf smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 33 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Bishop Machebeuf's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Estes Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
