Recap: Harpeth Hall Honeybears vs. Mesquite Wildcats
The Harpeth Hall Honeybears have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Mesquite by a score of 41-39. While losing is never fun, Harpeth Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 75th in Tennessee, while Mesquite is ranked second in Arizona).
Navae Guidry was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points for Mesquite. The matchup was Guidry's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Sepulveda, who scored 12 points.
Harpeth Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Mesquite, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
