Mary Persons hadn't done well against West Laurens recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Mary Persons never let West Laurens on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 27-25.

Kasyn Vannier paced Mary Persons' offense, picking up five kills. Vannier got some help from Kamryn Vannier and her seven assists. Kamryn also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kourtney Harrington, racking up five apiece.
