Basketball Recap: Perry Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Perry Central came into Monday's game having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 49-44 W over the West Marion Trojans on Monday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 50-32 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Perry Central's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 12-16. As for West Marion, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Perry Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Marion: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
