Football Recap: Hammonton Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Hammonton and Kingsway have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Blue Devils had to suffer through a 33-0 loss at the hands of the Dragons. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Hammonton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kingsway, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Hammonton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Blue Devils' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Kingsway, they will venture away from home to take on Clearview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will be up against the Pioneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
