Soccer Game Preview: Westlake vs. Pebblebrook

The Westlake Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Pebblebrook Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westlake has given up an average of 6.8 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westlake fell victim to Hiram and their airtight defense back in March. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, Pebblebrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Cass.

Pebblebrook's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Westlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Westlake couldn't quite get it done against Pebblebrook when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 4-2. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
