Volleyball Game Preview: Chardon Hilltoppers vs. Independence Blue Devils

The Chardon Hilltoppers will head out to square off against the Independence Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chardon will be strutting in after a victory while Independence will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Chardon made easy work of North and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hilltoppers.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Chardon was: they took every set by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to Berkshire.

While Independence ultimately came up short, they really made Berkshire work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 27-25, 24-26, 25-21.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Chardon, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Chardon skirted past Independence 3-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
