Basketball Game Preview: Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies vs. Canton C-Hawks

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies will kick their season off against the Canton C-Hawks on Thursday. Tip off is scheduled at 6:30 p.m.

Canton is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell to Vermillion 61-57.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

As for Elk Point-Jefferson, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they had a phenomenal run, finishing with a superb 17-5 record.

Elk Point-Jefferson didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Canton when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 42-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elk Point-Jefferson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
