Pasco has gone 8-2 against Zephyrhills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Pasco didn't have quite enough to beat Citrus and fell 4-3. The Pirates have struggled against the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Abigail Grubbs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. Those hits were her first of the season.

At the plate, Pasco saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shalyn Carter, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Another was Morgan Montelongo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Zephyrhills' offense. They fell just short of Gulf by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Pasco's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Zephyrhills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12-1.

Pasco took their win against Zephyrhills when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
