Soccer Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Abingdon/Avon's Winning Streak

If Abingdon/Avon was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Monticello on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tornadoes came up short against the Urbana University Illineks on Saturday, falling 4-1. Abingdon/Avon were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior), but Urbana University's defense proved too tough.

Abingdon/Avon's goal came courtesy of Liam Walters, who's now up to four this season.
