Fayetteville proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Ganado Indians 8-6. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Chance Konvicka was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Kandon Kaspar also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Fayetteville's record is now 4-1. As for Ganado, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Fayetteville Lions challenge Thrall Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ganado, they will take on Shiner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ganado is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
