San Juan Diego Catholic is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season back in November of 2024. They were dealt a 56-15 loss at the hands of KIPP Austin Collegiate.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Live Oak Classical against Central Texas Christian on Tuesday as the team secured a 47-17 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

San Juan Diego Catholic better keep an eye on Lauren Smith. She was instrumental in Live Oak Classical's win, going 5 for 11 on her way to 10 points in addition to eight steals and five boards. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Ogden, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Live Oak Classical has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for San Juan Diego Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
