Softball Recap: West Charlotte Comes Up Short

West Charlotte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Berry Cardinals, falling 17-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 17-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

West Charlotte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saniyah G, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

West Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Berry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Coming up, West Charlotte will square off against Harding University at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Charlotte is facing Harding University at the right time seeing as Harding University is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Berry, they will take on Olympic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympic has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19 runs per game on average), something Berry will no doubt try to take advantage of.
