Baseball Game Preview: Moore Mustangs vs. North Bullitt Eagles

Moore is 0-10 against North Bullitt since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Moore has given up an average of 14.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moore lost 17-4 to Jeffersontown on Wednesday.

Adrian Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, North Bullitt faced St. Xavier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Avery Hooper was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for North Bullitt, their loss dropped their record down to 22-8.
