Preview: Lee Central Stallions vs. Kingstree Blazers
Lee Central and Kingstree are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Lee Central Stallions will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Kingstree Blazers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Lee Central came up short against Marion and fell 52-40. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lee Central has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Rjay Spann, who scored six points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kiauj Allen, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Kingstree's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 82-70 to Mullins. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lee Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Kingstree, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Lee Central skirted past Kingstree 68-65 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Kingstree's Khamis Wilson, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Lee Central to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
