Basketball Recap: Dickson County Piles Up the Points Against Kirkwood

With a playoff win on the line, Dickson County rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 58-28 victory over the Kirkwood Cobras. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Dickson County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keely Webb out in front who went 6-for-11 to rack up 17 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Webb is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Coralee Grove was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Dickson County was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They are 17-8 when they've passed the ball that well.

Dickson County is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points over those games. Kirkwood's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-17.
