The Sterling Raiders and the Buna Cougars will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Buna took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Sterling, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Sterling got the win against Milby by a conclusive 51-26. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Destiny Lewis was her usual excellent self, going 12 of 19 en route to 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The match was her 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Robinson, who posted seven points and three blocks.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Buna's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by Kountze and fell 67-25. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.
Sterling will have to contain Jaiden Epps as she made an impact in Buna's last game. She had two points and five rebounds. Epps is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh Humble, who put up three points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Buna smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.
The win made it two in a row for Sterling and bumps their season record up to 6-9. As for Buna, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sterling has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Buna struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.9 boards.
