Richland is 8-2 against Walla Walla since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bombers will challenge the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Richland has three straight wins, Walla Walla has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Last Tuesday, Richland was able to grind out a solid victory over Kennewick, taking the game 3-1. That's two games straight that Richland have won by exactly two goals.

Evyn McLellan and Aritz Alonso scored all three of Richland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Walla Walla's offense. They lost 4-0 to Pasco on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Walla Walla can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Pasco are ranked 26th).

Richland now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Walla Walla, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went Richland's way against Walla Walla in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Richland made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
