Volleyball Recap: Great Crossing Falls Short Against Ranked North Oldham

Great Crossing faced North Oldham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warhawks fell 3-1 to the Mustangs. The Warhawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 23-25, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Great Crossing lost, don't look at Jenna Browning. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and three aces. Gabrielle Bray also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Great Crossing has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-9 record this season. As for North Oldham, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Great Crossing will square off against Ballard at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Oldham, they will challenge Beechwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
