Basketball Game Preview: Phillipsburg Stateliners vs. Rutgers Prep Argonauts

The Phillipsburg Stateliners will kick their season off against the Rutgers Prep Argonauts on Monday. Tip off is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.

Rutgers Prep is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell just short of Manasquan by a score of 64-61 on Saturday.

Rutgers Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

As for Phillipsburg, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they had a phenomenal run, finishing with a superb 24-3 record.

Phillipsburg took a serious blow against Rutgers Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 75-34. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Phillipsburg was down 34-14.
