If Burges wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chapin, they should've done a better job of containing Daveon Singleton. The Huskies blew past the Mustangs 50-21 on Friday for which the team can thank Singleton, who rushed for 201 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, and also threw for 241 yards and a pair of touchdowns. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 119.4 rushing yards per game.

One reason for the win was Chapin's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Markanthony Rudolph and Juel Delgado, who racked up four sacks between them. Rudolph has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Burges lost, don't look at Nezahul Cisneros. Despite the final result, he rushed for 163 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Cisneros showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 67 yards.

Chapin's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Burges, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Chapin has already played their next contest, a 23-22 victory against Del Valle on the 3rd. As for Burges, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-21 defeat against Hanks on the 3rd.
