 Tuesday just wasn't the day for Santa Teresa's offense. They lost  8-0 to the Christopher Cougars on Tuesday. Santa Teresa has struggled against Christopher recently, as their  match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Santa Teresa got a good showing from  Peter Melendez, who   pitched three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. Melendez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 Even though they lost, Santa Teresa  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with six  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christopher only tossed two.
 On Christopher's side,  Mateo Alcantar was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mason Dubenko, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Santa Teresa's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12-1. As for Christopher, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Santa Teresa by a score of  6-2.
