Hixson and East Ridge are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hixson challenged Red Bank last Friday. The Wildcats fell 27-17 to the Lions. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Although Hixson took the loss, they still got scores from Deuantre Baulding Jr and Jake Pollock.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-14, which was the final score in East Ridge's tilt against Signal Mountain last Friday.

East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hixson, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5.

Hixson beat East Ridge 27-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
