Basketball Recap: Avon Comes Up Short

Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Randolph Blue Devils, falling 60-11. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Avon lost, don't look at Uwa Idada. Despite the final result, she posted two points and 11 boards.

Avon's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Randolph, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Avon Panthers face off against the Westport Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Randolph, they will square off against Carver at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
