Softball Recap: Berkshire Badgers vs. Kirtland Hornets        
        
		
            
 Berkshire put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Kirtland Hornets with a sharp  15-4 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Berkshire also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2023.
  Whitney Davis made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits. Davis was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more  stolen bases the last three times she's  played.
 In other batting news,  Kate Miller was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Jenna Hornak, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
 On Kirtland's side,  Addison Fleming was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 The  win  made it two in a row for Berkshire and  bumps their season record up to 4-6. As for Kirtland, they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-9.
 Berkshire will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Orange at 4:30  p.m. Berkshire is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season. As for Kirtland, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Independence at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Independence knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy  run totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Kirtland likes a good challenge.
