Rivera owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Donna Redskins 2-0. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Redskins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Andres Rocha, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Donna off the board.

On the hitting side, Rivera's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gilbert Cantu, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Cantu's first of the season.

Rivera's win bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Donna, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rivera will square off against rival Porter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Donna is set to take on their familiar foe Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
