Baseball Recap: Clay Center/Wakefield Comes Up Short

Clay Center/Wakefield had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Paola Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

The victory (which was Paola's third in a row) raised their record to 25-2.

Clay Center/Wakefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paola, they will challenge Fort Scott at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 23rd straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
